Munitions/Explosives Support More information
Munitions and explosives of concern (MEC) at current and former Department of Defense (DoD) sites present environmental, regulatory, and safety challenges. TechLaw’s experienced professionals include UXO and former military explosive ordnance (EOD) experts, regulatory specialists, scientists, and engineers to provide the necessary tools to fully manage munitions and explosives issues at environmental remediation sites.



CERCLA/RCRA Support                 More information
TechLaw has conducted investigation and remediation support activities for thousands of sites nationwide. Our services have ensured site cleanups are conducted in accordance with regulations, and have facilitated stakeholder cooperation and property transfers.
Emergency Response Activities  More information
TechLaw has supported more than 150 response actions under EPA Superfund Technical Assessment (START) and Regional Oversight Contract (ROC) programs. TechLaw has experience with Counter Terrorism Response, Oil Spill Response, Federal Disaster Response, and Fund-Led Removals. More than 45 staff members have provided Hurricane Katrina and Rita response support.
Negotiation Support                      More information
Since 1983, TechLaw has provided negotiation support to state and federal agencies in hundreds of cases. Under our RCRA Enforcement, Permitting, and Assistance (REPA); ROC; and Enforcement Support Services (ESS) programs with EPA, this has included technical document reviews, oversight of PRP remedial activities, evaluation of NPL site costs and settlements, preparation of exhibits and other materials for presentation during negotiation sessions, in addition to technical meeting support during negotiation sessions.

Toxicology & Risk Assessment  More information
Our risk assessment team has specialized expertise in the determination of risk-based remediation goals, risk data analysis, and risk management support. TechLaw has conducted human health and ecological risk assessments on hundreds of sites. Our highly regarded risk assessors have been selected by their peers and industry leaders to oversee review of EPA risk assessment guidance and to chair expert panels. On many occasions, TechLaw’s risk assessment work has eliminated the need for costly dig-and-haul type remediation, and maximized the options for beneficial site reuse.
