Overview: This is a contract position expected to last between one to two years. The job site is located in Boston, MA supporting a government agency. The selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. The start date for this position will be contingent upon the completion of the government security background check. As soon as the background check is completed, the candidate can begin work immediately.

Principal Responsibilities:
• Provide routine assistance to Litigation Support Specialists in database creation and management.
• Design and create litigation support databases utilizing Concordance and IPRO software.
• Bates stamp and generate document productions.
• Convert data between various file formats.
• Print and organize documents.
• Scan and create OCR documents.
• Import and export data from databases.
• Process e-discovery.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Computer proficiency is required.
• Prior litigation support experience in a law firm or vendor is preferred.
• Concordance, IPRO, LAW Pre-Discovery or other similar litigation support software experience is preferred.

Mid-Level Geologist/Engineer/Scientist - Wheeling, WV •

TechLaw, Inc. is seeking a Geologist/Environmental Scientist/Chemist with 6-10 years of experience in our Wheeling, WV office to provide technical and project management support for our environmental consulting work for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, other Federal State and local government agencies, and non-profits.

At TechLaw, you will have the opportunity to join a team of scientists and project managers who are experts in hydrogeology, geology, chemistry, risk assessment, soil science, sampling and analysis, hazardous waste investigations, remediation, and public outreach. We assist the EPA, other government agencies, and non-profits on various contracts throughout the United States. This position will assist our technical support efforts to EPA in performing environmental investigations, oversight of removal/remedial projects, emergency response, and training and exercise planning. New hires will be encouraged to cross-train in several other environmental consulting work areas at TechLaw.

Required Qualifications:

To be considered for this position you must have:

• BS or MS in Geology, Environmental Science, Chemistry or closely related field
• Project management experience.
• Excellent reading comprehension, technical writing, and research skills.
• Experience writing, editing, and reviewing technical reports (summary reports, work plans, and sampling and analysis plans for site characterization and remediation).
• Exceptional prioritization skills and the ability to work on several projects and tasks simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
• Experience working on Superfund sites and/or Federal Facilities (DOD/DOE) and knowledge of the CERCLA process as it applies to site characterization and remediation.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Moderate command of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, ESRI and other standard software programs.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
• A flexible schedule - fieldwork, travel, and night/weekend work to meet deadlines may occasionally be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have one or more of the following:

• BS or MS in Geology, Environmental Science, Chemistry, or closely related field
• Professional Geologist (PG) – PA, VA, DE
• Experience leading environmental field investigations including groundwater investigations
• Experience conducting emergency responses to oil and hazardous materials spills and knowledge of Incident Command System (ICS)
• Experience interacting with Regulatory Agencies (e.g. EPA, State, Local)
• Current 40-hour OSHA certification and 8-hour OSHA Refresher
