TechLaw, Inc., Celebrates 35th Anniversary with
Key Contract Win

CHANTILLY, Va. (October 1, 2018) — TechLaw, Inc., kicked off the company’s 35th anniversary in a winning way today by celebrating one of the largest contract awards in the company’s history.

TechLaw has signed an agreement with the US Environmental Protection Agency that gives the company the opportunity to pursue contract awards valued at up to $850 million over 10 years. TechLaw is one of just a few companies that is now eligible to bid for work under EPA’s Remedial Acquisition Framework-Environmental Services and Operations (RAF-ESO) contract in all 10 EPA regions nationwide.

“We’ve come a long way in 35 years, and this contract award shows that,” says Brian Shutler, Chairman and CEO of TechLaw’s parent company, TechLaw Holdings, Inc. “We’re a trusted, successful contractor that continues to grow, which makes today’s celebration even better.”

TechLaw Holdings and its subsidiary companies—TechLaw, Inc., TLI Solutions, Inc., and AlterEcho—are marking the 35th anniversary of the TechLaw brand, co-founded by Shutler’s father, the late Norman Shutler, a former EPA attorney. The company formed in Virginia and Colorado in 1983 with a handful of employees in makeshift offices working on a single federal contract. Today, TechLaw boasts 13 offices nationwide and a track record of nearly $1 billion in state, federal, local and private-sector contract work.

The ESO contracts, according to EPA, provide services to primarily support Superfund cleanup programs. Such technical oversight work includes: field work and analytical support, remedy operations (including long-term response actions), and preliminary assessment/site investigation activities. TechLaw will have access to a variety of environmental work over the length of the contract.

“This has terrific potential to be a strong and steady source of the work we already do, in addition to adding new work that can continue to grow the company,” says Patricia Derocher, TechLaw, Inc., President.
